196th in Capital 500 Türkiye List
Taban Gıda ranked 196th in Türkiye’s Top 500 Private Companies (2020) research by Capital, Türkiye’s most prevalent national economy magazine.
As a young company, Taban Gıda, the industry leader in the last five years among private companies operating in the wheat supply market in Türkiye, is advancing, intending to be among the leading suppliers in the global market as well as in the domestic market.
Claiming its strength and success by being among Türkiye’s Top 500 Private Companies, Taban Gıda is acting with an aggressive growth strategy in the agri-food supply industry. Taban Gıda, ranked 246th last year, rose 50 this year to 196th place. Stating that they are happy to be ranked 196th in Capital’s Top 500 Private Companies of Türkiye (2020) research, Taban Gıda CEO Hasan Hacıhaliloğlu said: Taking part in it is very important in terms of certifying our success. I hope we will continue to be on the list in the future. We are going through a difficult period for the entire world.
We made more efforts to respond quickly to the need and successfully survived 2020. Wheat has been the essential product of last year and this year. Production-consumption balances changed, and countries started to stockpile more. And clearly, we have begun to experience the effects of climate change in recent years. Although wheat production is expected to increase worldwide in the 21/22 season, a decrease in agricultural production is expected due to drought caused by climatic conditions, which will drive a significant loss of yield is expected in Türkiye. Although 2021 will be a challenging year under these conditions, we plan to keep the impact of risks at a minimum by turning to new strategies and markets and closing this year with growth. Sustainable agriculture and combating climate change are always at the top of our strategy.” he said.
With a strong capital structure, Taban Gıda plans to grow by %25 by the end of 2021.
Taban Gıda aims to boost its power in the industry by making production and logistics investments that will support the supply chain in the next five years. Taban Gıda, which traded 1.6 million tons of wheat last year and reached a net sales figure of 2,543,366,669 TL, aims to increase its transit trade volume from 300 thousand tons in 2020 to 1.5 million in 2021. Operating in nearly 20 countries in the Asian, African, and European markets and supplying grain, feed group and oilseeds, particularly wheat, Taban Gıda plans to grow by %25 at the end of 2021 with its strong capital structure. In addition, Taban Gıda, which trades with multinational, regional, national and local suppliers based on trust and quality, plans to develop the industry with new service approaches and innovative solutions and to make further investments in this field.
